MacMillan Wharf (or Town Wharf) in the center of Provincetown is where intercity buses begin and end their runs, and where the Provincetown Chamber of Commerce operates its information office. By Plane By Bus In Hyannis, transfer to a Plymouth & Brockton bus (tel 508-775-5524). The trip takes 8 hours from New York City. There are also buses from Providence RI (Bonanza Terminal; tel 401-751-8800 or 331-7500), a trip of 3.5 hours. Bonanza also runs buses from Albany NY and Springfield MA to Hyannis, where you connect for P-town. In Hartford CT the terminal is at Union Station (tel 203-547-1500). Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company runs four buses daily in summer from Boston to Provincetown. Connections are arranged for buses coming from Montréal via Boston to Cape Cod (two buses daily in summer, with additional services on weekends). By Car Don't try to park in the center of town, unless you arrive early in the morning. Instead, get a space in one of the municipal lots (follow the signs) if you can. By Boat from Boston The ships' dock is at Boston's World Trade Center, a 12-minute walk from the South Station Transportation Center, or you can ride the MBTA Silver Line buses from South Station to the World Trade Center in about five minutes. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, alcoholic beverages, and other refreshments are for sale, and both ships have open (sunny), covered (shady), and enclosed (air-conditioned) seating areas. More...
