Mill Brook Inn, Concord MA

Want to be right in the center of Concord MA? This is the place, near the Post Office, short walk to Monument Square, Emerson's House and the train station.

Concord's Mill Brook runs right through (and under) the center of town. The Mill Brook Inn is equally central, on Walden Street almost across from the Post Office.

Built in 1758 by master carpenter Nathan Hosmer, the house was moved from Main Street to Walden Street in 1828. Who but a carpenter would build a house with 86 doors and cabinets, 12-over-12-pane windows, and lots of other fine details?

The inn's guest rooms are furnished with luxury linens, terry cloth bathrobes, hypo-allergenic pillows, duvets and queen-sized "memory foam" mattresses.

Innkeepers Kathryn and Jean Paul Gosselin make sure that the important comforts are all up-to-date, of course, such as Wifi (wireless Internet), portable phones, clock radios, hair dryers, a library stocked with books by Concord authors, and a guests' refrigerator stocked with cold drinks.

Your room comes with continental breakfast, afternoon tea in the dining room, and evening sherry in the library.

Note that no credit cards are accepted at the inn. You may pay by check, travelers check or cash.

The Mill Brook Inn is a real step back in time, but only a few steps from everything in Concord.
