Harvard University's modern Arthur M Sackler Museum houses the university's superb collections of archaic Chinese jades, and bronzes, ceremonial weapons, Buddhist cave-temple sculpture, ceramics, lacquer boxes, important collections of Persian miniatures and Japanese woodblock prints, calligraphy. There are objects from Egypt, Greece, India, Iran and Turkey, especially Hellenic, Hellenistic and Roman artifacts. Since the closing for renovation of the Fogg Art Museum for renovations in 2008, the Sackler has also housed an assortment of items from the outstanding collections of the Fogg and Busch Reisinger museums.
