July
in New England

Independence day (July 4th) is the big national holiday, after which the summer tourist season is in full swing. Days are warm to hot, and perhaps humid. Nights are warm.

The weather is warm to hot in most of New England, and it may be humid. Lots of sunny days alternate with some days of rain. It can be foggy along the Maine coast sometimes, however.

Early July sees the tourist season in full swing.

The Independence Day holiday (July 4th) is very busy, particularly when it falls on a Monday, as it does in 2005, which gives everyone a three-day weekend. (In 2006 it's on a Tuesday, in 2007 on a Wednesday).

The seven weeks from July 4th through Labor Day are the busiest time of the year. The beach resorts and islands are often filled to capacity.
