Our
home for the weekend was The
Sherry-Netherland,
perfectly located at the southeastern corner
of Central Park (intersection of Fifth
Avenue and 59th Street). Built in 1927,
it was designed
as a pied-à-terre for prosperous New
Yorkers who had homes elsewhere but wanted
to spend time in the city.
