Maine Driftwood Beach | |
|
Maine
has nearly 3500 miles (5645 km) of coastline,
most of it beautifully unspoiled, like
this stretch on an island in Penobscot
Bay. Driftwood from Maine's forests piles
at the leeward end of a cove, and evergreens rise toward the heavens. Within the fragrant
forest, the pines are festooned with eerie
epiphytes.
