Rays of the morning sun are first visible in the USA from the top of Cadillac Mountain, near Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island, Maine. It's a ritual for visitors to Acadia National Park to hike or drive to the summit of Cadillac Mountain in the early morning dark and arrive in time to view the dawn. |
