First Parish Meetinghouse, Concord MA |
|
|
The First Parish in Concord MA was "gathered" in 1636. Traditionally, a New England church building is called a "meetinghouse," not a "church." This First Parish meetinghouse, a Concord landmark, was rebuilt a century ago after the original 19th-century structure burned. The earliest meetinghouse (1636) was much simpler. |
