John F. Kennedy (1917-1963)

Born in Brookline to a prosperous and politically savvy family, John Kennedy was educated at Harvard before serving as a PT-boat captain in World War II.

After serving as a congressman and senator, he was elected 35th President of the United States in 1960, the youngest ever, and the first Roman Catholic.
