From Boston and Portland, take I-95 North to Augusta ME and Exit 112B (formerly 31B), then follow ME Route 27 north through Farmington and Kingfield to Sugarloaf. The small town of Kingfield, 15 miles south of Sugarloaf, has a few services, but you'll probably spend virtually all of your time at Sugarloaf/USA Resort. This is forested Maine, with only a few small villages scattered here and there. From Sugarloaf to: Bangor ME: 92 miles (148 km) SE, 2.5 hours Boston MA: 235 miles (378 km) SW, 5.5 hours Hartford CT: 342 miles (550 km) SW, 7.5 hours New York City: 446 miles (718 km) SW, 10 hours Portland ME: 127 miles (204 km) S, 2.5 hours
