T F Green Airport in Warwick RI has become more important as Boston's Logan International Airport reaches its full capacity. Green Airport hosts several low-fare airlines such as Southwest. Many residents of eastern Massachusetts travel to Green Airport just for the low fares and low parking fees. With growth comes construction, and you may be slightly inconvenienced by the building at Green, but not seriously. Among features to come in the future is a rail link that will allow MBTA Commuter Rail trains to connect Green Airport with Providence and Boston. Taxis, rental cars and a few shuttle services take passengers to and from the airport: — Airport Limousine Shuttle carries passengers between the airport and Providence every hour between 5 am and 11 pm, stopping at Providence Station (Amtrak and MBTA Commuter Rail), the major hotels, Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design. Fare is $9 per person, one-way. Call 1-401-737-2868 for reservations. — Cozy Cab operates scheduled shuttle van service between T F Green Airport and Newport RI, with service every two hours from 7 am to 10 pm, and hourly service on Friday and Sunday.
