National Park Tours (tel 207-288-0300, acadiatours@hotmail.com) runs two tours daily from Bar Harbor. The 2.5-hour tour takes you through the town of Bar Harbor and stops at many of the mansions left from its heyday, then continues into the national park, stopping at Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond House, Sieur des Monts Spring, (Wild Gardens of Acadia), and of course the summit of Cadillac Mountain. Tour fee is $25 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under. Traditionally the tours have left at 10 am and 2 pm, but call in advance to check the times, and to make a reservation.
