Bicycling on Martha's Vineyard MA

Bicycle riding is fun anywhere on Martha's Vineyard island as the hills are few and gently sloped.

Biking is particularly good on the bike path between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, and on the island of Chappaquiddick, reached by small ferry (a 5-minute trip) from the docks in Edgartown.

Wildlife preserves are dotted about Martha's Vineyard, particularly on Chappaquiddick and at Menemsha, Felix Neck, and Cedar Tree Neck.

The excursion to the strikingly beautiful multicolored clay cliffs at Aquinnah (Gay Head) is a must, but you'll need a bit of stamina for this trip on a bike, and should devote most of a day to it.
