If you've enjoyed that sort of an easy summer atmosphere, Wellfleet will bring it back to you. Although a number of motels on US 6 take in travelers heading for Provincetown, and a few small inns put up travelers on Wellfleet's quiet streets, Wellfleet is mostly a town of "steadies," people who come every summer for all summer. But it is surrounded by the Cape Cod National Seashore, it does have good wildlife viewing, a few restaurants worth a look should happen to be here at mealtime, and one of the last operating drive-in cinemas in the USA.
