Boston's compact Theater District a block south of Boston Common has several hotels that provide well for anyone heading to the Charles Playhouse (Blue Man Group and Shear Madness), Boston Opera House, Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theater, Citi Colonial Theater, Cutler Majestic Theater, Nick's Comedy Stop, Paramount Center/Theater, Shubert Theater, Wilbur Theater.

They're all less than a 5-minute walk from any of these hotels.

(The Orpheum Theater, near Park Street Station, is not in the Theater District and is thus farther, about 11 minutes (1/2 mile, 800 meters).

Nearest MBTA subway stations are Tufts Medical Center and Boylston Street.

Remember, Arts Boston sells reduced-price tickets for many of these shows on the day of the event from their Bostix ticket offices next to Faneuil Hall and in Copley Square.
